How can you help Kanata Con?

Putting on a successful Kanata Con is a big effort. While we have a dedicated group of volunteers who are involved in planning and executing the event, we could use help in other ways. In addition to be a great event for our regular weekly gamers, Kanata Con helps subsidize our weekly gaming fees and provides a pipeline for new gamers for our group. Here are some of the ways you can help:

• Volunteering - We could always use use a couple more volunteers. All the details  on the benefits of volunteering and how to sign up as a volunteer can be found in the Kanata Con registration page. 
• Contribute to the library
  • Over its history the Kanata Con library has largely been provided by two people. As the library's primary contributors, Steve and Joe, have had positive experiences lending out their games at the Con.
  • We would like to involve more people in contributing to the library so that we can expand the breadth of games Kanata Con attendees have to choose from.
  • Even a couple games each from a dozen members would go a long way to making our library even better.
  • If you can contribute any number of games, we could use your help.

• Help us out with shelving, tables and trash
  • We could always use extra folding tables and shelving for the consignment sale.
  • Each year we have to haul away the trash from the Con. We have two challenges with this. First, the cars of the organisers cars are filled with games, shelves, tables, supplies, etc leaving little room to take trash home on Saturday night. Second, the city's new waste policies make the trash issue even more complex.
