This week's session started off slow, back to our typical mulling around trying to decide what to play. I believe it was a smaller group as well, with perhaps people taking vacations with what summer we have left. But another week, and another good set of games played.

Whoops, forgot to write a blog post for last week, and have forgotten most of what happened. Seems like our attendance has picked up over the past few weeks with a number of new people joining our ranks, and we have no idea what has caused this sudden influx. This week was no different, continuing the trend of a solid turnouts.
Another week and another great turn out. Every week it appears we are seeing new people coming to check us out. This week we had another four new faces by my count. More people means a greater variety of games hitting the tables, which is great to see.
One of our biggest turnouts this week, and a number of new faces again. Seems like word is getting out and new blood is joining our ranks. Uncharacteristically, a decisive start to the night occurred as a number of people knew what they wanted to play, and 2-3 tables were set up and going before even 6pm.
Another solid turn out this week, and a few more new faces, which is awesome to see. The night started with the typical mulling around. As per norm, a good 10 minutes of standing around to assess options, but there's nothing like a good Kennerspiel des Jahres winner to pique interests and break the standoff; Rob with Broom Service to the rescue for the second week in a row. I was quick to follow suit with Terra Mystica to offer up, as Eric expressed interest in the forums. So we started a game with Eric, Jen, Frank, Myself, and Patrick who came just in time for rules.
We had a great turn out last Thursday with some 5-6 tables running all sorts of games: from the lighter Ticket to Ride to the night-long Empire Builder, and many in between, like classic Puerto Rico.
A few new faces this week as well. Hopefully Teemu (I apologize for the spelling), Jen and Eric, had a good time, and will be returning to future meetups. The night started off typically with our indecisive lot mulling around, figuring out what to play. Luckily, Rob made an appearance, bringing recent Kennerspiel des Jahres winner, Broom Service, to the tables, and got the ball rolling as a group broke off to join. |
